What are we?

Co-housing comprises of private dwellings grouped around shared communal facilities, including a common house, and a central car-free recreational space. The shared facilities are jointly designed, owned and managed by the community as a whole.

Who are we?

Co-Housing Bristol is a co-operative that has come together to create a mutually supportive, socially inclusive neighbourhood in Bristol. We will build a strong community, which balances the benefits of group living with the needs of families and individuals, providing a secure basis to pursue rewarding and fulfilling lives.

Why co-housing now?

The rapid growth of co-housing projects in Europe and North America is a strong indicator of a groundswell that wants to re-establish a sense of community and human scale. Co-housing is founded on the recognition that we inhabit spaces beyond our individual dwellings.
